Concept

The Dance of Tennis Inner-city project is an innovative approach to tennis which help kids develop six major life skills:

1. Self-esteem (learning how to feel good about oneself)
2. Conflict resolution (resolving anxiety in competitive situations)
3. Cooperation (non-violent behavior)
4. Focusing (Centering and grounding)
5. Relaxation (piece of mind)
6. Imagination (visual-imagery)

All of this is part of the Dance of Tennis (DOT) experience as kids learn basic tennis strokes. The DOT methodology is highly transferable from sports into academics helping kids develop motor skills and basic conceptualization skills.

The Dance of Tennis programs appeals to children because of the innovative mix of music, dance and sports – creating a fun learning environment that ignites and balances the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN BE IT.
